I’m from Iowa originally but spent much of my professional life working in San Francisco with technology companies to establish their reputations and attract funding and in New York City representing global arts and cultural organizations to attract visitors and sponsorships. I found my way back to Iowa to work with our flagship university and market its multi-billion-dollar fundraising campaigns. It’s been a circuitous and fascinating journey that has given me a broad view of what motivates people to take action. As chief marketing officer at Stead Impact Ventures, I help our portfolio companies refine their value propositions, map their customer journeys, and develop lifecycle marketing strategies, and I assist our Foundation’s nonprofit partners to maximize their fundraising potential and impact.
